On 5 July 1813, Canada, Fort Schlosser. FitzGibbon sent about 40 men of the 49th to surprise Fort Schlosser. This was successfully accomplished and they carried off arms and stores
On 11 July 1813, Canada. FitzGibbon's 40 men took part in attack on Black Rock, east of the Niagara, which succeeded in destroying eight guns and did much other damage
On 17 July 1813, Canada, Ten Mile Creek. 49th encamped here and on 18 August it moved to camp on the Queenstown Heights. The 49th took part in a large demonstration against Fort George on 24 August and on 2 October it arrived back at Forty Mile Creek
On 25 July 1813, Spain, Roncesvalles Pass. 2/66th. Byng's Brigade sent to Roncesvalles Pass to guard against the French using Pass to return. The French attacked the Pass several times, all were beaten off by the British. A strategic retreat then took place, with several skirmishes over two days
On 30 July 1813, Spain, Sorauren. 2/66th. Byng's Brigade took part in a successful battle which resulted in taking 1700 prisoners, plus many killed and wounded. Byng was then ordered to join in the pursuit of the retiring French
On 6 Oct 1813, Spain. 2/62nd disembarked at Passages, joined the Army under the Duke of Wellington in Lord Aylmer's Brigade. It was present and took part in crossing the Bidassoa, entering France
On 9 Nov 1813, Canada. The British, including some of the 49th, followed and constantly harried the Americans who finally turned to attack at Crystlers Farm. In spite of superior American numbers the British victory was completed, but casualties to the 49th were very heavy
During Dec 1813, France. 2/62nd. Those on the Nive (River), having been in position at the Mayor's house, where some men were wounded, and also those preparatory to the investment of Bayonne
During 1814, Canada, Nova Scotia, Halifax. On arrival the 1/62nd went into camp. The Battalion then proceeded against Castine, situated on the Penobscot, which surrendered with shipping, stores etc. Once again receiving thanks from His Royal Highness the Prince Regent
During 1814, Sicily. 1/62nd sailed with an expedition landing at Leghorn, from where they marched to Genoa. The enemy having retired here, an action took place which terminated in its capture. The Regiment in common with the rest of the troops received the thanks of His Royal Highness the Prince Regent.
On 10 Feb 1814, Spain, Garris. 2/66th. Hill's Division were ordered to move south-eastward and Byng's Brigade took part in the Battle of Garris. Later in the month, on the 24th, the First Provisional Battalion moved to about five miles south of Orthez. The next day the 2nd Division crossed the Gare by a ford at about a mile above Orthez
