New Temporary Exhibition

'Hidden'

The Military's Influence on Popular Culture

We are very excited to announce the launch of our brand new temporary exhibition- 'Hidden'!

The exhibition, which will run from 10th February until 9th November 2024, explores the influence of the military upon our popular culture.

Exploring everything from film and television to language and fashion, visitors will be surprised out how the military has infiltrated our everyday lives!

The exhibition will fall into six categories – Health, Environment, Technology, Fashion, Icons and Military Aid to the Civil Authorities (MACA). A six page special comic has been created to explain the exhibition, which will include images from the collection of The Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum and further afield.

Visitors can also test their popular culture knowledge with our 'Military Mastermind' interactive quiz, whilst the kids (and big kids!) can try on our uniforms and take part in one of our trails!

Access to the exhibition comes as part of a regular museum admission ticket. The museum is open from 10am-5pm, (last entry 4:15pm).
