On 25 July 1813, Spain, Roncesvalles Pass. 2/66th. Byng's Brigade sent to Roncesvalles Pass to guard against the French using Pass to return. The French attacked the Pass several times, all were beaten off by the British. A strategic retreat then took place, with several skirmishes over two days
