Home of the Infantry Regiments of Berkshire and Wiltshire

WELCOME TO THE UPGRADED WEBSITE

You are now seeing the latest version of the website of the "Rifles (Berkshire and Wiltshire) Museum" or the "Riflemen in the Wardrobe"; this went live on Tuesday 7th August in preparation for the Open Day on Saturday 11th August which is being held to celebrate the official opening of the Museum by HRH, The Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, twenty five years ago.

The improvements fall into two categories:

There are both new and updated information pages covering the history of the RGBW/RGBWLI, the Museum's own history, details of the House and the Garden, the Friends of the Museum, the Volunteers and many more.

The Collection, which had not been updated for over five and a half years  now consists of over 26,000 images of over 15,000 items is currently being updated. It will now be possible not only for you to see all these images on your computer but also to order electronic copies of any of them at a cost of £5 each. With the help of a grant from Wiltshire County Council and the MODES Users Association at Derby you will soon be able to order copies of these images online. We ask your patience while we continue to refine it.
