Visit of Former WRAC Members to the Wardrobe
Seventeen mature but active members of the Salisbury Branch of the Women's Royal Army Corps (WRAC) Association enjoyed a visit to the museum and garden at the Wardrobe on Thursday 24th July. The party, who were greeted by Manager/Curator Micheal Cornwell, included former servicewomen of the Auxillery Territorial Service (ATS), the Royal Corps of Signals, the WRAC and the Womens Auxillery Air Force (WAAF). The visit had been organised by the Secretary Lt. Col. (Rtd) Valerie Trout. VIP guest was their President Lt. Col.(Retd) Joan Freeland. Assistant Curator Jackie Dryden took the photograph in the garden. The Branch, which meets regularly in the local Royal British Legion Club, is always on the look-out for new members!
