A exciting range of events and exhibitions are coming to The Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum, Salisbury this summer.
A Midsummer Nights Dream – Outdoor Theatre
In the stunning surroundings of The Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum Gardens in Salisbury, Quantum Theatre presents a magical production of one of Shakespeare’s best loved and enduring comedies, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Doors open at 5pm, so bring a picnic. Rugs and low-backed chairs welcome. Performance goes ahead no matter the weather (part of the fun!) so dress accordingly.

WW1 at the Rifles – FREE Family Event
Back by popular demand, a fascinating FREE family event is returning to The Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum in Salisbury this Summer. WW1 at The Rifles will explore life at end of the First World War to find out what happened to soldiers and civilians as their wartime lives ended.
Taking place on Thursday 26th July 2018, 10.30am – 12.30pm and 1.30 – 3pm, there will be fun and fascinating hands-on challenges, dressing-up and period photographs to take home. In addition to the day’s activities, children who attend the event can also visit the museum for FREE on the day.
The event will take place in the museum’s stunning riverside garden, indoors if raining.

I am a Rifleman – Touring Exhibition
The Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum in Salisbury is delighted to announce the opening of a temporary exhibition which tells the extraordinary story of Britain’s largest infantry Regiment; The Rifles. The exhibition called I am a Rifleman provides a glimpse into the experiences and achievements of soldiers from the Regiment.
In the Rifles Regiment, success is based on four core values around their ethos: Innovation, Mutual Respect, Self-Discipline and Forward-Thinking. This exhibition enables visitors to immerse themselves in twelve stories that bring these four core values to life. Using individual accounts, images and mementoes, I am a Rifleman shows what it means to be a soldier in The Rifles today.
