| Entry | Left billets at 5.30 and marched through St JEAN to WIELTJE where the brigade massed. The 5th Brigade were attacking N of the YPRES - PASSCHENDAELE road and the 4th Guard Brigade S of same road. Our brigade was to follow 4th Guards Brigade. We advanced about 1/2 mile during day and bivouacked. During the night we were detached from remainder of Brigade who returned to billets and St Jean, and were under the command of GOC 4th Gds Bgd. |
