Entry We were warned by Bde that the Dvn on the right would explode a mine at 4.45pm, this happened and was followed by a heavy bombardment of the enemy trench lasting until dark (8pm). We were relieved by 22nd RF about 12.45am and marched to billets in BOUVIGNY arriving there about 3.30am. A Coy was billeted in the dugouts in BOIS 6. Weather fine. Total casualties during tour 1 killed 16 wounded, one of the heaviest casualties lists the battalion has had in the trenches.
