Entry During the day all was quiet. About 5 pm COMPANY ROAD was shelled with light field guns and intermittently throughout the night. We had three casualties 2 killed and 1 wounded. Weather very wet. Working parties from the 23rd Division were employed on digging new trench in front of HEADQUARTER trench, also parties were at work on SAP 8 and COMPANY RD, the two communication trenches to the front line, neither of which were usable.
