| Entry | Day was very quiet except for rifle grenades against our saps. Little or no damage was effected by these. About 11pm 3 patrols were sent out from left of ROSE TRENCH to DEADMANS TRENCH. These patrols reported enemy wire good. They also heard sounds of hammering timber and metal behind LEFT CRATER. Work done during the day was the same as 3rd, i.e. rebuilding and building parados and parapets. |
