Regiment | 1st Royal Berkshire |
---|---|
Location | France, GIVENCHY B2 SubSec |
Entry | The Battalion relieved the 1st Herts in B2 Subsector. The trenches were in a fair condition most of them being boarded. As at FESTUBERT the left of the line consisted of GROUSE BUTTS. About 10pm it was thought that enemy mining was going on between J and K saps (right front Coy). Enemy working parties were heard during the night. Work by all companies consisted of building parados and parapets. Trench mortars and rifle grenades were active against the saps held by the Battn Bombers in the right Coy's (B) line. |
