War Diary

1916-01-11
Regiment 1st Royal Berkshire
Location France, BELLERIVE
Entry The Battalion paraded for inspection by Coys in full marching order. Owing to the absence of Colonel May at a lecture the inspection was conducted by Captain Sharpe. After A Coys inspection was over the GOC 99th Bde arrived and inspected C, D and B in turn. He expressed himself in turn extremely gratified at their turn out and spoke most highly of the Battalion, saying he considered it an honour to have such a fine Battalion in his Brigade. The intervals between inspections were taken up by Coy and Platoon training.
