Regiment 1st Royal Berkshire
Location France, BELLERIVE
Entry Sunday. The Battalion with the drums went to Church at GONNEHEM parading at 10.30am for 11am service. The drums had just started organising properly, we had applied for Sgt Liester [?] to come out from the 3rd Btn and he had arrived with the last reinforcement. Up to this time we had only had scratch bands made up from men employed all over the battalion, but the Commanding Officer agreed to have the men selected struck off all other duties. Weather windy but not much rain.
