Entry | The battalion moved at 10.45 to billets in BELLERIVE which was the place allotted to us for the Divisional rest period. On arrival at BELLERIVE about 12.30 pm Coys proceeded to their respective billets which were somewhat scattered, but so far as accommodation was concerned, they were not bad. The majority were in barns and farm buildings. The country all around was either under floods or very muddy, the roads generally were good. It was not possible to obtain a mess large enough for all officers, and three separate ones were formed. Work of cleaning and repairing equipment was begun in the afternoon. The battalion came under the orders of the 33rd Division this day. Weather fine. |
