Entry From midnight 15/16th Dec 1915 the Battalion, with 1st KRR Corps and 5th Kings (Liverpool Regt) ceased to belong to the 6th Infantry Brigade and joined the 99th Infty Brigade - this change was caused by the re-organisation of the 2nd and 33rd Division. The other units of the 99th Brigade were the 22nd and 23rd Royal Fusiliers. The 99th Bde commanded by Brig-General [space - no name entered]. All ranks are very sorry to leave the 6th Bde but are glad to be able to stay in the 2nd Division. The Battn relieved 1st Herts in subsection Z2 complete 12.30pm. Battn front extended to BOYAU 14 Left on GUN St as before. B Coy right front - C Coy centre - A Coy right section & D Coy reserve in WIMPOLE ST. The trenches were in fair condition and moderately dry. Work in improved trenches specially MINE Pt & ETNA Crater. Enemy sent over rifle grenade and threw bombs opposite left Coy, silenced by our artillery. Right Coy reported enemy lit fires on their parapet about 10 pm. Enemy heard working in front line. 2/Lt Pugh on leave.
