Entry | C Coy relieved Coy R Fusiliers in right front section, complete by 9.00 am. More rain. Much previous work done wasted owing to bad weather. Firing line and support trenches again fell in at many places. Communication trenches very muddy. Everyone working. About 12.30pm 6 HE shells (medium howitzer) fell near support trenches. None exploded. Enemy very quiet and were again seen baling. Three casualties during tour. All wounded. 2/Lt Dobson leave. |
