Entry As on previous days general work of repairing the trenches and laying down floorboards was continued. Part of trench in 3rd line which had fallen in was rebuilt (about 8 yards). A new trench was started, it started from the north side of BOYAU 11, near where BOYAU H cuts the support trench, and it is to go to the south end of BOYAU 12 (at a point 10 yards E of the Bomb store. Repairs were also carried out on SIMMS KEEP. Shelling. Support trenches were shelled by light field guns from 12 noon to 1 pm. Intermittent sniping and machine gun fire was carried out by both sides during the night. Casualties 1 killed 1 wounded. Lieut Jerwood proceeded on leave.
