Location France, FOUQUEREIL & ANNEQUIN FOSSE
Entry The battalion left FOUQUEREIL and marched into billets at ANNEQUIN FOSSE. Hour of leaving 1 pm. The relief was completed by 5.30pm. The battalion came under the orders of the 12th Division for this day. Two Officers, Lt Jeakes and Lt Cook were sent to report to HQRS 35th INF BDE near VERMELLES. There were not retained and returned to the Battalion by 5 pm. The CO and Company Commanders reconnoitred new area Z1 to be taken over by the battalion on the following day. Billets in ANNEQUIN FOSSE very indifferent. C Company ceased to be attached to 1st Corps HQRS and rejoined the Battn at 7pm. Weather very cold and a dense fog came on during the afternoon and continued throughout the night.
