Entry Wet and misty. Germans active. Shell fire unabated. MOUSSY heavily shelled. At dusk, HQ and A Coy moved to ridge, dispositions then being: 5th Bde TILLEUL high ground. 1/Kings Regt [thence?] to CANAL at ECLUSE inclusion. B Coy Ecluse (exc) due west to BRAYE road (inc) D Coy west to foot of Ridge. A & C Coys on ridge in touch with Rifles who in turn met 4 Gd Bde at last E of CROIX SANS TETE. Very heavy shell fire throughout day. Water carts ordered to return to BOURG. SAA Carts and chargers to remain at LA M Fm. Light attack by Germans at 8.30pm. Very wet night. Casualties: Other ranks. 8 wounded.
