Entry | The Battn was relieved in the trenches by the 5th Btn Kings Liverpool Regt. Relief to billets in MONTMORENCY BARRACKS in BETHUNE. The relief was carried out quietly, no shelling occurred during that period. The condition of the men's feet on return from the trenches was good, this is ascribed to the use of thigh gum boots and the use of anti frost bite grease. Weather conditions very wet. |
