| Entry | Raid carried out by 1/BUCKS Bn on the AVE, SM MADDALENA - CASSORDA Area. A Patrol of "C" Coy left out lines at 05.45 and entered the enemy line which they found unoccupied. They remained there during the morning and moved forward at 12.30 to MILITARY BARRACKS ASIAGO. At 15.50 the Patrol advanced as far as EBENE where they were fired on by 2 enemy M Gs situated in a trench near COSTA. The Patrol withdrew and re-entered our Piquet Line at 18.00 without casualties. The Patrol saw the French in EBENE. Weather:- fine day, poor visibility. Remarks 1 OR to Hospital. Lt F L PLUMER rejoined from 474 Fld Coy. 2/Lt L G CLEVELY rejoined from Course. |
