Entry Dispositions remained throughout day, as noted in entry of 14th. Incessant shell fire from field and heavy guns. Farm buildings hit twice. At nightfall A & B Coys relieved by C & D. 1/Kings Rgt prolonged line to East to meet 5th Inf Bde. On left 2 Coys 1/KRR joined up with 4 Gds Bde who were slowly gaining ground towards Pt 194 CROIX SANS TETE. Unable evacuate wounded. Large amount of straw at farm made situation critical. All trenches improved after dark. Very wet again. Duties exceedingly heavy [?]. Telephone wire established with Bde latter HQ being at MOUSSY. Lt Perkins buried after dark by Rev. THOROLD CF. Heavy firing on left 9pm. Casualties. Wounded 2/Lt A.P.J. Hibbert. Other ranks killed 1, wounded 8. 2/Lt Moore sick to base. Arrived from 3rd Bt at 11.20pm. Capt O. Steele (2nd Btn) 2/Lt W. Suckling, 2/Lt C Beattye, 2/Lt R.G. Gregson-Ellis, 2/Lt B.F.M. Warner with 4 soldier servants.
