Entry 6th Brigade took over section A1 and A2 in the CUINCHY line. 5th Kings A1, 2/S. Staffs A2. 1st Kings close support. 1st Herts ANNEQUIN. 1st KRR and 1st R Berks in brigade reserve at BEUVRY and BETHUNE respectively. 10 am. The battalion less C Coy moved from GONNEHEIN and took over billets at the FUILLARD barracks BETHUNE. We were ordered to send a Coy to take over Corps duties at CHOQUES. C Coy were detailed for this duty. The period was one month. This detachments duties consisted of finding several guards, control posts and some fatigues. 2/Lt R J S Dodd 3rd Royal Berks joined for duty and was taken on the strength.
