Entry | Battalion moved to CENTRALE leaving billets at 12.45am, arriving at 6.40am - good march - no-one fell out. We took over camp vacated by 1/7th R WARWICK REGT. Accommodation good, consisting of Italian bivouacs, and a few tents. Weather:- fine hot day, thunderstorm in evening. During the month an epidemic illness, closely resembling mild influenza with sudden onset, three or four days fever and followed by a relatively slow convalescence, was prevalent amongst the Battalion. The complications met with were those of influenza, but the influenza bacillus was not found. 112 cases were evacuated from the Battalion of which one died in hospital.
