Entry The Brigade moved to the PIOMBINO DESE Area. BRIGADE HQ and OXFORDS to TORRESELLE, BUCKS to FOSSALTO, ourselves to PIOMBINO DESE. We left at 11am, arriving 4.45pm with an hours halt for dinners on the way, - about 12 miles march - a warm day. The ITALIAN 48th DIVISIONAL HQ were at PIOMBINO DESE and their GOC sent out his Divisional Band to play us in. - They also gave a Cinema entertainment to the Battalion in the afternoon. The Commanding Officers, and CAPT O B CHALLENOR, MC had the honour of dining with the Italian Divisional Staff in the evening. Weather:- a lovely day, frost at night. Remarks 1 OR to hospital sick.
