| Entry | A few working parties were found under RE supervision. One platoon per Company was employed on improving trenches etc. for emergency near the billets, the remainder of the Battalion training - musketry, physical training and bayonet fighting, games, gas drill. Two Officers per Company reconnoitred the roads for counter-attack, and for occupying the reserve line. Weather:- a dull cold day, slight rain at night.
