| Entry | Holiday for both Companies, except for working parties as on the 9th. Divine Services were held at the CONVENT during the day. The usual inspections of arms and small kit were held - bathing the men and washing clothes. Our "C" Company played "D" Company of the GLOUCESTERS at RESANA in the Brigade Inter-Company Football Competition, and were conveyed to the ground by one of the Divisional motor lorries. After a very exciting game, "C" Company won by 3 goals to 2. Weather:- a fine hot day, fog at night. RIGHT HALF BATTALION [Resana] Rifle and Kit Inspections only were held. "C" Coy play D Coy 1/5th Glosters in Brigade Inter-Company Competition and won 3 goals to 2. C Coy's team came up from PADOVA by lorry. Weather:- a lovely day. |
