Location Italy, [Villa Jonoch]
Entry Training continued. D Company route-marched for 2 hours in the morning. Weather:- a fine warm day. Remarks 2/Lt Wickens rejoined from leave. Lt Prince to hospital. SECOND HALF BATTALION Inspections of arms, iron rations etc were held during the morning. Two working parties were found during the afternoon each for 3 hours work at the CONVENT. The first consisting of 4 Officers and 90 O Ranks for filling in Assault Course, the second - 5 Officers and 130 O Ranks for pipe-laying. The Commanding Officer inspected all billets and reconnoitred the village in search of more suitable accommodation. Billets were complety re-organised: the new billets being very good indeed. Weather:- a fine warm day, slight mist at night.
