Entry The GOC BRIGADE inspected all billets, the result being very satisfactory. Training - range allotted to "A" Company, - bombing ground to "D" Company: a working party of 50 under the RE at CARMIGNANO was found by this Company - musketry, games, advancing across country. The following changes in Company command were made:- 2/LT L T GOODENOUGH took command of "B" Company CAPT O B CHALLENOR MC took temporary command of D Company. CAPT C BARTRAM was transferred to "C" Company CAPT G T MANSHIP was transferred to "A" Company 2/LT W O FORDER was attached to Headquarters. The GOC BRIGADE congratulated all ranks on the steadiness on parade at the Inspection by the COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF. During the last ten days, Reading and Writing Rooms had been arranged for each of the Companies, either by taking separate little rooms of the houses or by arranging with the people to use their kitchens in the evenings. By these arrangements two rooms were provided for "A" Company, four for "B" Company, two for "C" Company, one for "D" Company and one for Headquarters, and these were very greatly appreciated. Lamps were bought in CITTADELLA and oil was obtained from the DIVISIONAL Train. Weather:- a fine cold day, very cold night. Remarks LIEUT K JONES returned from Hospital.
