Entry Church parade was held in the morning, the Divisional General attending and speaking to the Battalion afterwards. He wished them all a Happy New Year, telling them all of the work which might lie before them, afterwards informing the Commanding Officer of his award of the CMG. The Royal Proclamation (copy attached) was read out to all ranks on Parade Services. The Officers of the Battalion played the BUCKS Officers at football losing 1 - 3 - a very good game. Weather:- a fine cold day, very cold night. So keen was the frost that all running streams were frozen over. Remarks 2/LT F L PLUMER went on Leave. "A2" LT L G PRINCE joined the Battalion. 3 OR to Hospital sick.
