Entry The BRIGADE moved at 9.15am, the Battalion moving to the ZAVATIERO Area "B and "C" Companies via LOVOLO - BASTIA - MONTEGALDELLA to GASPARI arriving about 2pm. - "A" and "D" Companies MONTICELLO - BASCO DI NANTO - VILLAGANSERLA to ZAVATIERO. It was a good day for marching - the roads were in excellent condition, and no traffic. The billets were fair - all clean, but crowded and not too warm. The Battalion joined up again after 12 days. (BUCKS moved to VILLAFRANCA - OXFORDS to CAMPODORO - GLOUCESTERS to BOSCO DI NANTO) Oxen transport was hired and used for most of the blankets, limbers being sent back to complete. Weather:- a fine cold day, cold night. Remarks 5 OR to hospital sick. [Second Half Battalion] We moved from RAMPAZZANA at 9.15am. Joining up with the rest of the Battalion after 12 days at ZAVATIERO. Weather:- a fine day cold night.
