Entry Left CREMONA 5am. Arrived PEIVE St GIACOMO about 8am, left at 4.30pm. Breakfast and Lunch were made. Horses were taken out for an hours exercise. The Band practised. Commanding Officer held an inspection. Most of the local inhabitants gathered round the train and much appreciated the music. Thence to PIAVENO, left at 8.30pm. Weather:- a lovely day, cold night. [Second train] We left NOGARO at 1pm hiring civilian transport to help move us. The roads were in excellent condition and the going was good. A halt of one hour was made on the road and tea issued. We arrived at BOVOLONA at 7.15pm. Headquarters and Stores in Picture Palace, "A" Company in School adjoining Church, "D" Company in large farm near Station and Transport in rear of large Hotel. A hot meal was provided soon after arrival at BOVOLONA. Weather:- lovely day, cold clear night.
