Entry The journey was continued via GRETZ - VERNEUIL - LONGUEVILLE - FLAMBOIN - NOGENT, S/S, 3/4 - hour's halt made here and hot coffee supplied: horses were watered: men washed and shaved 10.5 to 10.50am. Thence via ROMILLY - MESGRIGNY - TROYES; 1/4 hour's halt was made here - hot coffee was brought down the train by French Ladies. Thence via BOVILLY RONCENAY - ERVY - St FLORENTIN - D'ARCY. Halt, 6.15 - 7.20pm, was made here. Hot water was supplied, tea was made and issued: horses were watered: Rations for the 24th were issued. Thence via DIJON. Weather:- a fine misty day. [Second train] The journey was continued via AMIENS which we passed at 1.30am - ST. DENNIS - ST. PONTIN. We halted at ST. PONTIN for three quarters of an hour where tea was issued to the men. Thence via NOGENT SUR SEINE where 40 minutes halt was made and hot coffee issued to the men and horses watered etc. The journey was continued via TROYES which was reached at 4.15pm. Weather:- fine misty day.
