Entry The Commanding Officer spoke to the Battalion in the morning on several points connected with the new move. The Brigade Commenced Entraining during the day. Half the Battalion (B,C, Band, part HQ, QM Stores and Transport, 18 ASC attached) left SAVY in the afternoon. The train was due to leave at 3.17pm. - left 3.50pm. 2nd train in charge of Major J N ALDWORTH (A,D, remainder of HQ, QM Stores and Transport. First Train 20 Officers and 486 OR. Second Train 18 Officers and 462 OR. FIRST TRAIN First train left 3.50pm via ARRAS, LONGEAU - half hours halt was made here: hot water was drawn and tea made and issued: horses were watered: 9.30 to 10pm. Thence via CREIL. Weather:- a fine misty day. Remarks O.O. No 76. "A6" SECOND TRAIN Second train left SAVY - BERLETTE at 9.5pm, the loading being finished at 7.40pm. Hot tea and soup was issued on the station at 6pm. Weather:- a fine misty day.
