War Diary

1917-10-19
Regiment 1/4th Royal Berkshire
Location France, [Villers-au-Bois]
Entry Company training was continued as on the 17th. All the draft were placed under the command of MAJOR J.N. ALDWORTH MC for training. The great majority of the draft was composed of men from the A.S.C. M.T. and naturally had had no previous infantry training. They were a good lot of men and although naturally rather sore at being transferred to Infantry after enlisting in the M.T. A.S.C. everything will work smoothly during the next few weeks. Weather:- fine day but showery. Remarks CAPT C. BARTRAM went to Small Arms School at LE TOUQUET.
