Entry We were relieved by the 12th W YORKS (9th Brigade). We moved off at 10.30am. Via HAPLINCOURT, BANCOURT, BAPAUME, BIEFVILLERS to the Camp at BIHUCOURT, arriving at 3.15pm. A half hour halt was made at 2pm. And this pulled the Battalion together. Only 5 men fell out - 3 of them came in with Transport. Weather exceptionally hot and the roads full of traffic: marching of the Battalion was good. We took over from the GORDONS, 7th Brigade. Another Gas Alarm at night. Weather:- a hot sultry day with heavy thunder rain at night. Remarks Capt Gregory went to Fifth Army School. 2Lt Cawley went on Leave. APPENDIX "A" No 1.
