Entry A Conference of Commanding Officers was held at BRIGADE in the afternoon re the move. The enemy's guns were quiet all day, but were firing continuously all night. One of the patrols of "C" Company had moved to the Rifle Pits in Kc, when gun and machine gun fire was opened on them. They withdrew, but 3 men were found to be missing. A patrol went out immediately and searched to ground - two of the missing were found - 1 killed, 1 wounded. The patrol searched until dawn but could not find the third man. Weather:- avery hot sultryday, with heavy thunderstorm in the evening - a very dark night, with mist or drizzle nost of the time.
