Entry | The Corps Commander awarded the Military Medal to 200150 Sergt GARRETT, E J for his good work on the night of the 19/20th June 1917. The following report was received from the D.A.D.V.S.:- "I inspected the Transport Lines and animals of the 145th Infantry Brigade yesterday without any previous warnings and found the Standings clean and tidy. The horses and mules were in very good condition, well groomed and cared for. This shows good stable management and reflects great credit on the Brigade Transport Officer, Transport Officers and other ranks under them. I shall be glad if you will inform them of this." The GOC congratulated all concerned on a very favourable report. We relieved the OXFORDS, the relief being completed by 1am. (28th) Dispositions:- "A" RIGHT FORWARD COMPANY "D" LEFT FORWARD COMPANY For map see previous "B" SUPPORT COMPANY dispositions map of 15/6/17 "C" RESERVE COMPANY The enemy's guns were fairly quiet all night. Weather:- a hot day. Remarks see "A7" CAPT LARPENT Royal Fusiliers one of the Instructors of the Fifth Army School was attached to us for a few days 'refresher'. Capt W NORRISH returned from hospital. |
