Entry No work was possible during the day. A patrol of 1 Officer and 4 OR went out at midnight from K.7.a.9.2., and proceeded along a track 40` approx. bearing for about 200yds. They found rifle pits which showed no signs of recent occupation. The patrol encountered none of the enemy and returned at 1.30am. To the place from which they left. Working parties by night on posts, wiring etc. Weather:- a lovely day. Remarks 2/Lt G E Brooke, 2/Lt E C Aylett joined for duty and were posted to B and A respectively, 2/Lt Wickens retd from Hosp. Casualty: 1 man acc. wounded.
