Entry | We relieved the GLOSTERS in the Brigade Left Subsector DEMICOURT Sector, the relief being completed by 12.30am. (23rd) Dispositions:- B Company RIGHT A Company CENTRE C Company LEFT D Company RESERVE CAPT W O DOWNS' death was a great loss to the Battalion. He proved himself a most excellent officer, always thinking of his command. He knew his work thoroughly and his many qualities had endeared him to all ranks. Weather:- a very hot muggy day.
