| Entry | The line to us was very quiet, but to the gunners and airmen it was quite the usual day. Our experience had been very different for many months past. All Companies were employed on improving their posts and wiring in front, but owing to the dark and misty night, the ration parties had a very difficult job in finding their way in the new country. Weather:- a very sultry day. Remarks The MILITARY CROSS was awarded to 2/LT E W CRUST and MILITARY MEDAL to SGTS H PADDICK, H G WHITE and B H FULLER and PTE E RUSS for their good work on April 16/17 |
