Regiment 1/4th Royal Berkshire
Location France, Buire
Entry Working parties of 300 were found for work on the roads in the neighbourhood. We moved back to DOINGT at 5.30pm. No camp was available, but we drew 30 tents from Ordnance, which we put up in the afternoon. A and B Companies bivouaced in the village ruins, C and D Companies in the tents. No very great change was noticeable in the village since we left it on March 29th. A draft of 35 OR joined the Battalion - a good lot, but out of these, five wore trusses, one flat foot, one varicose veins, and one hammer toe. Weather:- a lovely day, quite hot. Remarks A draft of 35 OR joined the Battalion. O.O. No 36, attached.
