Entry Work on the roads was continued at DOIGHT. At 4.30pm. Orders were received to move to bivouacs near MARQUAIX. The Battalion moved off by platoons at 6.30pm. onwards. The roads were very bad, and heavy rain fell during most of the march. The bivouacs and tents arrived just before the Battalion, and they were put up in the field about half mile North of the HAMEL - MARQUAIX Road. The conditions were very bad with sleet and heavy rain most of the night. The men worked cheerfully. Weather:- cold day, heavy rain and sleet.
