Entry We took over the RIGHT SUBSECTOR of the OUTPOST LINE from the 7th WORCESTERS and 4th GLOSTERS, completing the relief of the front Company by 7am. "D" Company and "B" Company front Companies, "A" and "C" companies in reserve. Dispositions (see sketch attached) HQ at LE MESNIL. The roads were in good condition to DOIGNT, two bridges there were blown up, and all main cross roads had been mined and trees felled across the roads. Each village had been systematically destroyed, even down to the fruit trees, Furniture etc. In the afternoon the line was re-arranged our front being 300 yards north of ST CREN to the River COLOGNE. The 1st DIVISION were originally on our right, they were relieved and the 59th DIVISION took their place. The BUCKS Battalion were on our left. Weather:- a fine day.
