Entry We were relieved by the 4th OXFORDS, the usual details being carried out. The relief was completed by 10.15pm. Special arrangements had been made to deal with the enemy's Machine Guns, if they caused as much annoyance as they had done on the previous evening. We moved back to support "B" and "D" Companies as before, "A" and "C" Companies to FLAUCOURT. A conference of Commanding Officers was held at Brigade HQ at 12.30pm. The enemy's guns were very active all day. Weather:- A fine day, frosty night. Remarks Casualties [nothing to see] LT T H GOOLDEN rejoined the Battalion from the Division. CAPT S C LARN went on Lewis Gun Course. 2/LT E L BOSTOCK assumed temporary command of "A" Company. 2/LT J J MARCHANT went to hospital.
