| Entry | We relieved the 8th WORCESTERS in SOPHIE trench, becoming Brigade Reserve. Dispositions:- 2 Companies and Battalion HQ in SOPHIE Trench. 1 Company in Trench West of HERBECOURT. 1 Company in FLAUCOURT. The relief was completed - 3 companies by 3pm., the fourth by 6pm. Owing to the light the last Company could not clear the high ground until late in the afternoon. No working parties were required and all ranks were employed on clearing the trenches etc. Weather:- fine afternoon, dark night. |
