Entry The Brigade less the OXFORDS and GLOUCESTERS moved to CAPPY, the Battalion leaving at 12.30pm., moving via MORCOURT - MERICOURT - FROISSY - CANAL de SOMME with 200 yards interval between Companies. It was a very cold march, but the going was good. The Battalion arrived at 4.45pm., and were billeted in the village, A and B Companies were billeted in various houses. C and D Companies in a large barn filled with bunks for all. Fuel was very scarce. Weather:- a very cold day and night. Remarks LT J H GOOLDEN was attached to Divisional Headquarters.
