Entry Work as per programme when possible. The Corps Commander Lieutenant General Sir W P Pulteney KCB, KCMG, DSO, inspected the Brigade at 10.30a.m. The Brigade was formed up in a hollow square, and after the inspection, the Corps Commander expressed his satisfaction with the Brigade, and the way in which they had carried out their duties since they bad been under his command. The Brigade then returned to billets, marching past the General on the way. The Brigadier lectured all officers at 4.30pm. A Concert was given by the Brigade at 5.30pm. - a full house, and a good programme. The following were mentioned in dispatches of 5th January 1917:- Lieut Col R J Clarke DSO, TD. Remarks:- Extract from London Gazette:- Regimental Sergt Major R A Hogarth to be Lt & Qr Master December 29/1916. Lt S C Larn returned from leave.
