| Entry | Lt CAWLEY and 12 men sent out on patrol from CHALK PIT and encountered a German working party. They accounted for about thirty Germans and returned without casualties. It appears that the Germans are digging a forward trench in NO MANS LAND. Left Support Coy HQ was blown in by a direct hit. Casualties 1 OR killed and 2 OR wounded. Company HQ was reinstated in another dugout up the trench. Weather:- a wet day. |
