Location France, Hebuterne
Entry We were relieved by the 5th CLOSTERS, the relief being complated by 12.15p.m. We moved back to our old Billets at SOUASTRE, all the Coys being in by 2.15p.m. Weather:- a fine day, rain at night. The following were appointed 2/Lieuts and posted to this Battalion:- 2/Lieut R A Wickens: 2/Lieut B A Ross: 2/Lieut R H Turner: 2/Lieut J W Cawley: 2/Lieut T Rogers: 2/Lieut E W Crust. These appointments were very pleasing to all ranks in the Battalion. These Officers, by their conduct and bravery, had well won the honour conferred on them.
